Description: This 4-day course introduces Niagara certified students to the Honeywell BACnet Spyder series of programmable unitary controllers. Class topics include controller specifications, BACnet architecture, device addressing, function blocks, simulation, debugging, macros, applications, BACnet objects, proxy points, time schedules, Spyder library, priority array, Zio wall module, VAV balancing, Spyder migration, Spyder alarms, and sharing LON and BACnet applications between devices.

Note: Students will need to bring their laptop with them along with a standard Ethernet Cat 5 patch cable. Their laptops will need to have Niagara AX 3.5.24 or 3.5.34 installed, licensed and tested. It can be WEBs or Vykon. If non-WEBs please have release 3.5.24 or 3.5.34. Vykon often has other releases which may not be compatible with the Spyder tool. There is not enough time available during the class for the Workbench installation and licensing so it is imperative that the Workbench installation and licensing is completed beforehand.
