Audience:
The intended audiences for this class are Application Engineers, Controls Programmers, Controls Technicians and Controls Service Technicians.
The KMC BACnet training is a 5 day class that will provide the student with basic knowledge needed to set up and make operable a BACnet control system based on KMC products. The student will gain hands-on experience using BACstage software to configure and program within the KMC environment. Training is presented in a systematic and logical manner, starting with small system and expanding to large systems.
Pre-requisites:
Each student should posses a 2-year HVAC certification or equivalent field experience. Previous experience with direct control systems and general knowledge of BACnet theory is strongly encouraged.
Student Requirements:
Each attendee must bring a laptop PC. The student must have administration rights to install software and make changes to the PC’s network connections. The laptop must meet these minimal requirements:
- Windows 7 Professional or Ultimate (32-bit versions), or Windows Vista Business or Ultimate (32-bit versions), or Windows XP Professional (32-bit version)
- 2 GHz or faster processor
- 2 GB of RAM or greater
- 160 GB hard drive with 5 GB free
- Display capable of 1024 x 768 resolution
- Network (Ethernet) 10 Base T connection
- CD ROM drive
- 2 Serial ports (or USB to serial converter)
